Instruction material in Ukrainian

BG RCI publications overcome language barriers in occupational safety and health

Thousands of men and women from Ukraine have fled to Germany to escape the war in their country - and many of them have gained a foothold in the local labour market. To enable them to work safely and healthily despite language barriers, the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the raw materials and chemical industry (BG RCI) has translated ten “short safety talks” into Ukrainian.

What language does everyone in the world understand? Exactly - the language of pictures. That's why only the most necessary things are put into words in the “short safety talks” brochures. With the help of entertaining drawings, companies can convey sound knowledge about occupational safety and health to their Ukrainian employees. With these “short safety talks” companies can fulfil their obligation to provide instruction in a clear and comprehensible way.

The brochures cover key OSH topics that are relevant to almost every company, including hearing protection, fire safety and first aid.

The safety instructions are now available as print documents and digitally as slides at: https://downloadcenter.bgrci.de/shop/skg/ua
