This Handbook provides some tools for the assessment and management of the chemical risk for any kind of employees working in a contaminated site. The assessment takes into account:
- chemicals in general
- carcinogenic and mutagenic chemicals
- exposure by inhalation and by dermal absorption
The approach to such topics, presented in the handbook, tries to merge the contents of the Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Unified Document on occupational health and safety) with those of the Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Environmental Unified Document). The handbook deals also with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) recommended for workers.
