A large number of incidents – often fatal ones - characterizes the processing of stone materials (e.g. marble). Taking inspiration from that, Inail has drawn up this document, which contains “good practices”, applicable when handling stone materials on the service areas of the workshops. 

Main subjects addressed:

• features of the workplaces;
• safety signs;
• most relevant risks for health and safety;
• safety requirements and appropriate use of work equipment;
• procedures and behaviours aimed to minimizing risks;
• regulations about occupational safety and health;
• insurance against incidents.
