Safe nanotechnology on workplaces

This leaflet, containing a series of questions and answers, aims to inform workers about safe use of nanoparticles. The word “nanoparticles” refers to engineered particles whose dimensions go from 1 up to 100 nanometers. The leaflet addresses the following questions:

  1. Are nanoparticles hazardous to workers?
  2. How can workers be exposed?
  3. Can nanoparticles be measured?
  4. Can workers’ exposure be controlled?
