This booklet is addressed to the operators of plants for production of energy from waste and incineration of municipal waste. After a careful description of the main occupational risks, the preventive and/or protective systems and the intervention for improving working conditions are depicted. Among the analysed risks, you can find:

• exposure to chemical agents (dust, nanoparticles and dangerous substances);
• exposure to noise;
• exposure to vibrations;
• exposure to biological agents;
• accidents due to machines;
• fire and explosion;
• solitary work;
• working in confined spaces.
