The Berufsgenossenschaft Nahrungsmittel und Gaststätten (BGN) offers free of charge a self-check „safety and health in the enterprise“ as a web-app which can be used with each modern smartphone with up-dated browser.

With the self-check every entrepreneur of the BGN-branches can find out which significance the topics safety and health at work do have in their enterprise and if these topics have already been integrated in the daily work. This check is not time-consuming: about 30 minutes of process time and for evaluation.

The entrepreneurs will not be left alone with the results. In fact the app proposes offers and measures oriented exactly to branches and size of the enterprise – also for small enterprises - in order to improve health and safety at the workplace. This can be: brochures, seminars, online and further media offers. The brochures can be downloaded directly. For the seminars an online registration is necessary.

Furthermore the entrepreneurs have to possibility to compare themselves with enterprises from their branch and their size of the enterprise (benchmarking). The self-check is a starting offer of BGN for the new prevention campaign “kommmitmensch – sicher, gesund, miteinander.

The self-check has been developed within the project “prevention culture 360°C”. Project partner beside BGN was the “Arbeitsmedizinische und Sicherheitstechnische Dienst der BGN“ (occupational health and safety service of BGN).
